Each episode takes one theme all the way through: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly, and one Beautiful strategy you can bring to work this week.

You are a good leader. You got into this because you care, not just about the people inside your organization, but you actually care about everybody outside of it as well. And maybe you sense something's not quite right at work. There's a growing gap between what you deeply, deeply value and how you and your teams have to work every day. It doesn't sit well with you, and you want to change it. So here is what I've learned about change and leadership for moments like this. Things change when we go beyond just addressing what is good. We also get honest about addressing what is potentially quite bad. And we dig deep and find that moral courage to face and acknowledge and handle what could potentially be really, really ugly. And still we challenge ourselves and our team. What would be a more beautiful, humane way forward out of this? I'm Shiao- Yin Kuik. I've worked for 20 years at the intersection of culture change strategy, organizational development, and social impact consulting. But I am also an entrepreneur, a founder, and an actual team leader. So I can tell you I've learned many, many hard lessons about what it is like to build, close, and rebuild my own organizations. That is why I've built Soul at Work. This podcast is for every leader out there who, like me, you want to just make things better, not just for yourself, but for everyone around you, your teams, your stakeholders, everyone who matters. So in every episode, I want to give you the good, the bad, definitely the ugly, about something that I see in modern work life. And I want to leave you with one really beautifully practical strategy of how we can take things forward. Look, our organizations are not going to change overnight. That's the truth of it. But I promise you, our organizations will change because there's a sum total of really tiny looking choices that we leaders make every single day. And we make them in a large and beautiful direction. And if that is the leadership journey that you are on, then I want you to come. Because I want to work together with you and let's close that gap together.
